January Blues?

Christmas is well and truly over now and the weather is still freezing cold! So what’s the answer, what can we do to cheer ourselves up? Well if your anything like me you need to have something to look forward to otherwise it can be a very looooong winter! So I say start thinking about your cruise holiday if you have not already as there are some great deals to be had this time of year!

Why book early?
If you book up early you are going to get the pick of the cabins and the best flight availability (trust me the flights do sell out quick) along with any of the cruise lines "early booking" offers which generally include savings on the cruise fare, sometimes free car parking and very often onboard credit.
Looking for last minute?
Last minute deals are fine too as long as you are quite flexible on what you can do. At the moment there are some superb Caribbean deals for February/March and April with P&O cruises and April is the start of the med sailings if you don’t want to go too far afield.

Family Travelling?
Then you need to book your 3/4 birth cabins early!!! These are the ones that go first especially during the summer month’s i.e the school holidays. It can be a real struggle for us as agents when people call up around May/June time to try and book a family cabin - it is a no go! 9/10 we won’t be able to find anything so start thinking now.....

Fred olsen rocket up the fuel

Are you thinking of booking a Fred Olsen cruise for your holiday this year?? If yes then YOU NEED TO BOOK NOW!!!

Why? Because Fred Olsen have announced that "the continuing gloomy outlook for fuel pricing has led us to review policies as to the charging of fuel cost supplements" that’s right folks the fuel charge already in place on Fred Olsen cruises will be hiked up effective from WEDNESDAY 19TH JANUARY 2011

As we all know fuel prices are ever increasing, we all feel this at the petrol pumps! So in line with this Fred Olsen will be increasing its fuel charge to 5.5% of the cruise fare (not our discounted fare) As agents we will automatically incorporate this is into your costing and make you fully aware of how much you are being charged on each booking. But to put it into layman’s terms a £2000 booking will incur a fuel charge of £110! Please be aware that the fuel supplement is non discountable so we cannot apply our discounts to this.

The cabins are comfortable with a very nautical feel. You can interact with the crew and captain. All water sports are included except diving which is a small additional fee, there are tea and coffee making facilities onboard which are free of charge to use, afternoon tea and cakes are served, all meals are included which is open sitting. Gratuities are additional but are at your discretion although they recommend about 8euroes per person per day. Drinks are also additional.
